Friendly and compassionate, we will help you make choices about your pet's care, catering for your needs and budget, aiming to get them back on their paws as quickly as possible.
We are a traditional general practice, offering value for money and you will see one of our two permanent vets who both trained locally at the Royal Veterinary College and have 24 years of combined experience.
We are located in the Shepall district of Stevenage on the junction of Valley Way and Hydean Way close to Fairlands Valley Park and Stevenage Borough FC’s stadium. There is free parking directly in front of the practice and additional free parking located opposite us on Valley Way. Bus routes number 4/4A and 390 (Hydean Way, Peartree Centre) stop outside the practice.

We are fortunate enough to be able to use the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals at the Royal Veterinary College. Out of hours, your call will be transferred directly to their experienced emergency staff. Please follow the link below for a map and directions for the short drive to reach them.

If your pet is ill, it is often possible for them to go home for the night and return to us for treatment in the daytime. However, if your pet does need to stay with us, they are checked regularly.
We aim to offer great service at affordable prices and will always discuss the options available, our fees and payment terms with you. We recommend pet insurance as the best way to budget for pet care.
We will use your details to remind you when your pet's vaccinations are due or to inform you of our products and services, however, we will not pass on your details to a third party.
Pets' health records belong to the practice that sees the pet and when you change vets, it is standard for copies of the history to be sent to the new surgery, so that the vet is aware of any previous treatment. This also happens if you would like a second opinion (when you would like another vet's view on your pet's condition) or a referral (when you would like a more specialist opinion).
We aim to provide the very best of service and care to all our patients. So if you have any comments on how we could improve our service, we would welcome them. Please speak to a member of staff, contact us in writing or via email: enquiries@valleyvetstevenage.co.uk.
